This painting features Celeste Bailey, 5x Canadian Pro Smooth & Rhythm Champion, 4x Arthur Murray World Rhythm Champion and Arthur Murray World Smooth Champion. Celeste and her partner, Dmytro Gurkov, have also competed professionally at Blackpool, finishing as runners up in rhythm and in the top 3 for American style smooth in 2022.

This work is inspired by Celeste’s tango performance in 2022 at the AM Texas Dance-O-Rama.

HALLELUJAH (TRAVIS & JAIMEE SHOW DANCE)

DANCING BOLERO (ROBYN & KATHERINE)

This painting, featuring amateur competitive dancer Robyn Murcar and professional dancer Katherine Frey, is inspired by their competitive bolero routine, performed in 2009 at Arthur Murray Superama.

Titles held by Robyn Murcar include Canadian Amateur Champion and Grand Champion at the Champions Ball in Moscow. Robyn is also a multi-time Arthur Murray World Pro-Am Champion in Smooth, Rhythm and 9 Dance, has been a runner up at the Ohio Star Ball, and also a finalist at Blackpool.

Max & Tatiana (tango SHOW DANCE)

This painting features smooth dance champions Max Sinitsa and Tatiana Seliverstova, and was inspired by their dramatic Tango Show Dance. A variety of videos of this particular show dance are available online. However, the particular performance that inspired this piece, performed in London, can be found on YouTube.
